Aisha began singing at Age 4 in church, and quickly found her passion for musical performance. After many choirs and solo performances growing up, Aisha made the decision as an adult to sing full time.
Aisha has been featured with many local bands and projects--The Women & Concert series, Groundhog Day, the Charleston Jazz Orchestra, and others.
Aisha currently performs with her own band, AmpSquared, as well as the Emerald Empire Band and other local artists. She is currently writing material for her first album.
Well prepared for a successful launch into a career in music; Christian graduated from Winthrop University and formed a band with some college friends called The Pearls and Funk Band. They performed together successfully for years at several venues in the Charlotte, NC area receiving notable exposure. Shortly after relocating back to Charleston, SC she became the lead vocalist of The New Image Band.
In 2013, she further solidified her profession by beginning her solo career and forming the band Black Diamond and Company, an eclectic funk and soul band. She had her first two breakout shows "Shine Bright Like a Diamond" Part I and II which were successful and set the stage for her as a career artist. Christian is often called upon by local bands, The Secrets and Darrell Ravenel and Friends, who require her powerful voice to lead the charge in bringing the best to their audience. Her impressive talent has rewarded her with many opportunities to include opening for such major recording artists to include The Average White Band, RnB sensation Tank, Tim Bowman and K Michelle.
Christian has consistently delivered crowd-moving performances and is in high-demand in the Charleston area with a career that continues to thrive in a vast market.
Although she began singing at a young age in church and in elementary school, Zandrina began her professional musical journey studying classical music and musical theater at South Carolina State University in 2000. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Music Industry/Vocal Music in 2004.
Zandrina has performed with local and national recording artists to include Multi-Grammy Award winner George Benson, Nashville singer/songwriter Patrick Davis, Darius Rucker & Mark Bryan of Hootie & The Blowfish, American Idol Season 11 finalist, Elise Testone, and more. She has performed at the legendary Ryman Auditorium in Nashville TN, the Lincoln Theater in New York City, and many other noted venues throughout the US and internationally. She most recently shared her musical talents in Havana, Cuba with Gino Castillo and was blessed with the opportunity to travel to to Monrovia, Liberia last May with the Save More Kids Foundation to teach music to kids in Christ Children's Home in Gbarnga City. She also performed at a music festival in Liberia collaborating with both Charlestonian and Liberian musicians.
As an instructor of music, Zandrina has worked within the Berkeley County School District teaching music publicly to students ranging from grades K-5 and privately to students from 7 years to 50+ through Industry Direct Models and Talent and her own vocal coaching practice.
Zandrina can be seen performing in and around Charleston with local bands and with her own project, The Zandrina Dunning Experience.
One of her passions has been to travel and teach children from Europe to Asia and all over the US. Currently, Essence can be seen performing in and around Charleston with the city’s best musicians & singers.
