Purple Rain Film Screening: A Celebration of the Birth of Prince
The Charleston Music Hall is thrilled to celebrate the birth of Prince by screening Purple Rain on Wednesday, June 6th at 7:30PM! Prince was born on June 7, 1958 and would have been 60 this year. He changed the landscape of the entertainment industry and we will happily take any opportunity we can to celebrate his life. Join us for a night of singing and dancing along to one of the most iconic artists of all time!

Synopsis: A victim of his own anger, the Kid (Prince) is a Minneapolis musician on the rise with his band, the Revolution, escaping a tumultuous home life through music. While trying to avoid making the same mistakes as his truculent father (Clarence Williams III), the Kid navigates the club scene and a rocky relationship with a captivating singer, Apollonia (Apollonia Kotero). But another musician, Morris (Morris Day), looks to steal the Kid's spotlight - and his girl.
