About the show

Jimmy Buffett will go down as a legend. The way he created his island escapist songs and turned them into a lifestyle for so many humans is truly amazing. We want to celebrate his life and pay tribute to his legacy with a concert in his honor. We are thrilled to have Charleston’s premier Jimmy Buffett Tribute band, Folly Pirates Over 40, perform on our stage with their 8 piece band, as we celebrate the king of the parrotheads. Come on down and sing along to your favorite songs. All ticket proceeds will go to benefit the amazing non-profit, Charleston Waterkeepers who are dedicated to keeping our waterways safe. We will also have some special Jimmy Buffett inspired drinks at our newly renovated bar. A fun fact: In 1999 Jimmy Buffett was heading out on a huge world tour, and he used the Charleston Music Hall for a week to rehearse and prepare for that tour. Thanks for the good times Jimmy:

The CMH Celebrates Series is a way for our Charleston community to come together and memorialize the work and lives of some of the most iconic performers, who have entertained us for years.
 

Charleston Waterkeeper is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization founded in 2009 to protect and restore Charleston’s waterways for you and for future generations. We do that through an effective mix of boots-on-the-water stewardship and data-driven advocacy designed to protect your right to clean water for fishing and swimming. Simply put, we are watchdogs, stewards, and defenders for clean water.
