Charleston Music Hall is unique from other venues in that it includes access to all of Holy City Hospitality’s amenities: 39 Rue De Jean, Upstairs at 39 Rue de Jean, Virginia’s on King, Coast Bar and Grill, and Good Food Catering along with our affiliated hotels Embassy Suites and The Hampton Inn. We provide first class catering in house, Good Food Catering, as well as separate event spaces that range from private dining rooms to sweeping atriums and are designed with Charleston elegance conveniently located next door to the Music Hall.
Upstairs at 39 Rue de Jean
Having access to the event space above 39 Rue de Jean, a nationally acclaimed restaurant located next door, is a tasteful convenience. Enjoy the quality and service of Rue while personalizing a menu and décor limited only by your imagination. The private event space features vaulted ceilings, exposed brick, and a private entrance. We can help you create a menu and design the perfect ambiance. If you can dream it, we can help you create it. Perfect for breakfast, lunch, or dinner, this space is ideal for meals served around your event.

Upstairs at Virginia’s on King
With a 45 person capacity, this intimate space is perfect for VIP meetings or smaller private meals with clientele and is also located next door to the hall. Virginia’s on King specializes in upscale interpretations of traditional Southern fare. Each plate, prepared with the freshest, local ingredients, is a reflection of family recipes and Southern cooking traditions. At the heart of Virginia’s, you will find gracious hospitality along with all of the flavors of the Lowcountry.
Coast Bar and Grill
Serving up Charleston’s freshest seafood, Coast is also located next door and is yet another restaurant that can be used by our clients. The restaurant can be used for more casual sit down dinners or as an extra break out space for breakfast or lunch. Dedicated to providing fresh and local ingredients, Coast is as Charleston as it gets.
Embassy Suites & Hampton Inn
Across the street from the Charleston Music Hall are our two affiliated hotels making your event even more convenient, as you can rest, eat, and be entertained all within the same block. The Embassy Suites offers five meeting rooms that range from 10-200 person capacity conference rooms and come equipped with full AV, and an atrium that can host events up to a 400 person capacity.
Good Food Catering
A highly acclaimed catering company known for their world class food, ambience, and service. The use of Good Food Catering allows you to transform your break out sessions and meals into memorable experiences. Our chefs can create a menu to meet your needs,taste,and budgetary guidelines. You can utilize our spacious upstairs foyer in the Music Hall or our beautiful breezeway that runs alongside the building for catering surrounding your event. You also have access to Good Food Catering’s exclusive catering site: The Historic Rice Mill Building. This space is one of Charleston’s most spectacular waterfront venues featuring versatile indoor and outdoor event space overlooking the Ashley River.
The Charleston Music Hall offers a variety of service packages. We are also willing to work with you to create your own unique package that best suits the needs of you and your clients.
The Theater Package
This package includes the use of the Charleston Music Hall for your specified time along with the theater’s facilities within the building. Concessions, a cash beer and wine bar, and extra technical equipment and staff can be provided upon request.

The John Street Package
This package includes the use of the Charleston Music Hall along with access to Coast Bar Grille as well as Upstairs at 39 Rue de Jean and Upstairs at Virginia’s on King, two beautiful dining spaces with a banquet capacity of 125 and 45 and a range of choices from heavy hor d’oeuvres and drinks to full service fine dining.

The Downtown Package
This package includes the use of the Charleston Music Hall, access to Coast Bar and Grill, Upstairs at 39 Rue de Jean and Upstairs at Virginia’s on King, as well as access to our affiliated hotels The Hampton Inn and Embassy Suites located next door. Guest will have access to the sleeping rooms in the hotels, the five meeting rooms that range from 10-250 person capacity and come equipped with full AV, and Embassy Suites’ atrium that holds 400.
