Sarah Jarosz returns to Charleston on Friday, November 22nd to take the stage at the Charleston Music Hall! The soulful bluegrass belle arrives fresh off of the debut of her latest album, “Build Me Up From Bones”, in which she continues to express a high level of organically poetic lyricism, rich and varied instrumental mastery and a chasm of vocal talent that rests soundly between passion and control. Her newest body of work and her performance at the Music Hall will showcase the growth Jarosz has experienced during her time at the New England Conservatory of Music in Boston, from which she recently graduated, as well as her collaborative efforts with much of the new album featuring a trio playing along side her.

The newest direction of the artist’s style, which seems to stem from the marriage of artistic studies and personal exploration she underwent during her time at school, produces a kind of musical synesthesia for audiences. She sings “The ruby hues that outline all my words/are chapped and humming chords/I’ve never used before” in the song ‘Rearrange the Art’, in which her translucent words are illuminated visually in a consumption of the senses.

The depth of her lyrical craft can be felt more overtly through her powerful and lively stage presence, which demands even the furthest audience member to feel the resonant tap of her toe. Set in the warm and acoustic space of the Music Hall, the folksy and at times hauntingly soulful style of Sarah Jarosz promises to be a highlight of the Fall concert season in Charleston.
